Tranquil can only occur during the Zen Aura weather event in Grow a Garden.
During this event, you’ll notice the sky will change to represent something more relaxing, more Zen bringing to you the chance of obtaining the Tranquil mutation. This is all a part of the wider Zen update.

How to get Tranquil mutation in Grow a Garden
To get a Tranquil mutation in Grow a Garden, you need to have experienced the Zen Aura weather event in game. Afterwards (or during if you’re lucky), investigate your plants and see if a fruit has a glowing aura alongside Kanji symbols adorning it. This is a Tranquil mutation!
Additionally, you can also get this mutation from Tanchozuru which is a new pet found within the Zen Egg.

Whilst you may find that other mutations will affect the value of a plant alongside this, the Tranquil mutation has at least a x20 multiplier for your crops. You might find it could be higher or lower depending on the other mutations you have on a particular crop, but taken alone, you should be looking at a fairly decent multiplier for each of your crops that feature this mutation.
That said, as we discuss in our Zen update guide, you may want to hold onto your Tranquil crops for other uses, such as handing them over to the Zen Channeller or the tanuki.
Grow a Garden Zen Aura explained
Zen Aura is a weather event in Grow a Garden where the sky and overall atmosphere changes to represent something much more chill compared to other chaotic events – you’ll notice flowers and waves floating across the sky.
Added in the Zen update, the Zen Aura weather event appears to take place periodically at various intervals after the launch of the Zen update. We don’t know when exactly it occurs, so you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled as you play as it may show up randomly!
Your best chance to experience the Zen Aura event however, is to jump into Grow a Garden at every hour interval to see the weather event play out for around ten minutes.

This is best done during the days and weeks following the Zen Aura update – with the closer you are to the update’s launch, the better. This is because the weather event may be limited to this event, or show up even less often after a future update.
