So a little backstory. I had this game pre-ordered I think near the end of 2019. I had pre-ordered the collector's edition which came with the statue of male V on his motorcycle. Well unfortunately before the game released covid happened and I was out of a job so I had to cancel my pre-order.

Years passed, I went through some stuff mentally due to my ever growing fear of covid which caused a bunch of mental health issues for me and I ended up not going back to work for 3 years which means for 3 years I had no money.

Last year I went back to work and have been trying to get my life back on track because the lack of working and mental health issues had put me into a whole boat of financial issues.

So now finally after 3 years of not working and a full year of working, trying to fix my mental health and my awful financial debt I have finally gotten to a point where I can sit down, relax and finally purchase and play Cyberpunk 2077. It may be 6 years later than I wanted but hey…better late than never right? (:

You’re experiencing a flatly better version of the game. Hope you enjoy!

Wow that’s a lot to share on Al gores internet about starting a game.

  3. PestControlDewd

Let’s goo!!!, welcome choom…see you at the coyote

  4. Yo are all the main mods updated if so please write them down for my forgetful brain

  5. MaxxPlay99

Wait, so if you have cloud saves this is literally the only time, that you see this exact loading screen, right?

  6. Now is probably the best time to play it. Game has largely been fixed, a few bugs here and there but nothing game-breaking anymore. The skill tree revamp turned things around, giving the game much more concise and deep RPG mechanics. Lots of quality of life improvements, patches that add realism and content to NPC interactions. Also Phantom Liberty is one of the best DLC’s for any game I have ever played, 10/10. Have fun.

Should really get phantom liberty along with your first playthrough

  8. maminyaksj

Buy Phantom Liberty its better than the main game imo.

I just started a new play through. I have forgotten how brilliant the first five hours of this game was.

  10. Pestilence5

I preordered it, not the statue version. Even had the phantom liberty pack and never played it till last month.

its been great IMO way worth the wait. For me I couldn’t get into it till I was able to actually play this game the way it was meant to be played. Everything maxed out.

  11. I’m jealous. I wish I could play this game again for the first time.

That’s what I did. Played it like 6 months ago. It was amazing. I skipped all the drama waited till they fix it. Way is for the 2.0 or whatever blade is brand new. Had an amazing experience. Got addicted my friend went through all the drama. He did not like 2.0. that’s why it’s good to wait nowadays. I think you have to wait

I did something similar and started about 3 weeks ago and I’m now 70 hours in. Game is a masterpiece

Sorry to hear about your struggles bro. Hope you’re doing much better now. I actually bought Cyberpunk shortly after release and couldn’t play it, my PC wasn’t powerful enough to play it properly. When I saw the 2.3 update I thought now would be a good time to finally play. Two days in and I’m hooked, loving every second, I’m sure you will also. I’m also hoping you haven’t purchased it as yet because the Ultimate edition is on sale right now for $37. on gog.com Hope you get to experience Phantom Liberty as well. Take care and I’m happy you survived and making things better for yourself 👊

  15. Love the game too but why the hell are the gameplay controls of Blue Prince better then Cyberpunk

  16. Just started playing it for the first time. It’s great on PC

  17. Experiment with different builds (cyberware). I tend to like sneaking and hacking from a distance

  18. HertzWhenEyeP

I was where you are about 6 months ago… And I’m still playing…

If it gives you any indication how great the game is, I finished a 100 hour playthrough, and then IMMEDIATELY started a new game.

  19. CapnGnobby

I just started recently, and I absolutely love it.

I wasn’t sure I was going to like it, but as it was on PSPlus, I thought it’d be rude not to try it. I’m so glad I did. It’s quickly becoming one of my favourite games of all time!

  20. smooothjazzyg

Even though it’s a bit late this game is still better than 95% of the other games out there.

  21. thek3nnerz

Started the game about a week ago. Been loving it. So glad I finally decided to try it

  22. Sinner_San

Im jealous…i want to experience this game from fresh again too

  23. Started it around a week ago.

It’s increadible. The years of waiting for the bugs to get fixed was absolutely worth it.

  24. Lentobloke

i recommend also watching cyberpunk: edgerunners, it’s a masterpiece just like the game

  25. aintevergonnaknow

I’m almost done. Pushing level 50 and got a bit of PL content left and then off to the final sequences.

I had 80 hours of false starts into Cyberpunk before this run. I bought it on release and tried to power through bugs, tried in like 2022 a few times.

Just had to be in the right headspace for it I guess. Amazing game.

  26. TennesseeRonin

This is my opinion, you can ignore it u like, but we’re I you i would wait til act 3 to start phantom liberty. You’ll have more levels and gear under your belt by then

  27. Rustywatermel0n

I was in the same boat as you. Got it years back, only got to it now for one reason or another.

I’ll be the first to say its for the best you waited this long. The gane is now inbits nest state. I jist finished my first playthrough, 100% completion at 142 hrs. Incredible game. Please take your time with it, read every little log, readable and just soak in the atmosphere. Its a truly incredible atmosphere and story.

Enjoy and take your time with it. The more you do on the side the more you open up for yourself in the main story.

Phantom Liberty is incredible and I am STILL thinking about everything that transpired in it. I beat the dlc back on Feb 1st to put into perspective. Worth every penny.

Please take your time with it- this is one of the few games truly worth it.

  28. thecainman

I agree that Phantom Liberty is better than main story.

Also I kind of recommend Nomad start so you can feel a kinship to the nomads in the game.

    Or Street Kid.

Corpo is, imo, the weakest one by far.

Also ALWAYS SAVE BEFORE YOU DO AUTO DRIVE cause apparently it’s bugged as hell and you might get chased by the police after randomly killing pedestrians and your whole game goes up in flames lol

P.S. I did Phantom Liberty when it came out which meant I had already finished the main game once and let me tell you I really really wish I could have had them both at the same time. If you’re on PC there’s possible ways to get it at a discount on other websites that sell Steam keys.

Play the main game for a like 6-8 hours, see if you really enjoy it and if you do, I’d really recommend getting PL as well before you advance too far.
