Game: Death Stranding 2

I don't know what KojiPro did when they worked with Guerilla on the Decima Engine but it feels like they infused it with black magic.

Especially on a base ps5. I'm regularly in awe of what I'm seeing on screen. All at a rock solid 30 or 60 fps.

I can't even imagine what Physint is going to look like. Id also love to see a PT level horror game in this engine.

MGS2 and 3 look better than some modern games lol… looking at you, Scarlet and Violet…

No interest in OD if PT is as scary as they say (only horror game I’ve ever beaten was RE4 Remake and that’s more of an action game) but Physint is something I’m very excited for… well, it’ll probably come out in a minimum of like 7 years but still- excited.

I wish i could replay through both games again for the first time. This scene got a wow out of me too.

I took a video on this area. Never seen anything like it. PS5 pro, reflections in the water on the ground from the rain and sparks everywhere + sound design were peak.

  4. Kinda sorta, Decima does not have RTGI. So it’s more credit to the KojiPro staff spending insane amounts of manpower painstakingly lighting each scene multiple times.

I am consistently amazed by the detailed, (mostly) natural-looking expressions the characters in these games make. I love that they’re self-aware (and want to flex a little bit) enough to show it off from time to time, like the instant camera scenes.

    And the load times.

Time it from the ps5 boot menu – launching the game – hitting continue – 💥 ⁉️

    Its crazy

Seeing that in HDR on an oled was an experience for sure. The fact it’s a rock solid 60fps too was crazy and no ray tracing needed which is why it runs so well.

I always wonder what we’re missing out on because of the dominance of Unreal…

During the opening credits where it’s showing a bunch of landscape shots the game got an audible “holy shit” from me
