Patch 2.03.01 for Tekken 8 was released not too long ago. Making Fahkumram compatible for everyone was probably the biggest change introduced with this update.

Of course, this patch also provided adjustments to Alisa, Anna, Asuka, Azucena, Bryan, Clive, Devil Jin, Eddy, Feng, Hwoarang, JACK-8, Jin, Jun, King, Kuma, Panda, Lars, Law, Lee, Leo, Leroy, Lidia, Lili, Nina, Paul, Raven, Reina, Shaheen, Steve, Victor, Xiaoyu, Yoshimitsu and Zafina.

The developers have been actively trying to reverse course on the perception of Tekken 8 ever since Season 2 seemingly changed things for the worse. It’s been a steady process, but the developers are clearly trying to make the game more enjoyable for everyone.

However, it would seem that patch Patch 2.03.01 has had some unintended consequences for Tekken 8. As such, Kohei Ikeda, director of Tekken 8, has outlined plans for an “emergency patch” scheduled for next week.

More specifically, it would seem that there are three issues that the Tekken 8 development team will be targeting with next week’s emergency patch.

“Regarding the reports we’ve received before and after the release of ‘Tekken 8’ version 2.03.01 update, after reviewing them with the battle balance team, we’ve determined that three issues showing unintended behavior contrary to our design intent should be addressed as a priority. Details on the three fixes planned for this update will be quoted sequentially in this thread,” said Ikeda.

“We are currently working on fixes and testing in the development environment, and we expect to release an emergency update sometime next week. Once the exact date is confirmed, we will announce it via the official Tekken account.”

According to Ikeda, other issues are set to be addressed in another update scheduled for September.

“In addition, other reported issues are also being reviewed, with a view to addressing them starting from Ver.2.05 scheduled for release in September,” continued Ikeda.

The issues outlined are said to be insufficient balance adjustments for Reina, an unintended fix for Devil Jin and a universal numerical setting error affecting attacks with the Power Crush property.
