Looking to buy a CPU, however, it was an RMA. So I found on the marketplace that a Ryzen 7 5700x3d is being sold for cheap however it was indicated in the post that it was brand new but an RMA from Taiwan(brand new replacement?). Now, given what I know about CPUs, it is usually straightforward. It either works or it doesn’t, but I’m also sure that it’s not all black and white like that so I’m asking the seller if we can stress test the CPU. Given that, what should I be looking for? How long should it be stress-tested to see any potential issues? Are there any indicators I should be particularly looking at? I’ve never had to experience dealing with RMAs before so I’m not too aware of the process, do RMAs replace the faulty unit with a different working unit or do they fix the faulty unit and then send it back? Thanks for answering my queries
