Btw, this red wallet was legendary at our family, we’re 7 male cousins with a age gap of +/- 4 years. Small town and every weekend we would reunite at some house to play video games, etc. I really miss these old days, now I’m 27. This wallet passed by each cousin, and now, I can’t pass it to nobody because no one uses it no more.
Every so often I’ll be digging through a box and find an old burned disc. “Oh shit, Predator vs. Alien.divx!”
i still have all of my folders filled with burned cd’s and dvd’s very nostalgic when i look through them 😉

I have my old one from 2003 leaning against the wall under my desk. Not all the games are pirated. I also have copies of Windows ME and XP in there. Now I’m thinking I need to build a retro PC.

Ahhhh man. Nothing like burning an ISO file while drinking a Mountain Dew Code Red.
Those were the days. Now I use OPL and life is easier in that aspect.

My dad and his brother made a bunch of these. Me and my cousin found like 100 cds of burned movies in his attic.

Brooooo! I had a cd case just like this with a lot of the same games! Nice!! Got a memory dump looking at these photos.
When I was a kid I’d do the same thing, but I literally only copied the shortcut off the desktop and wondered why it never worked.
Main games I tried were my friend’s copy of roller coaster tycoon 3 platinum, and simcopter. I still have a bunch of those silly discs with my horrible handwriting on them, likely still with just a shortcut on them.
Like when games came with many CD’s to install… So you thought burning them to CD was sticking it to the man. Wish we could go back to this to be honest. Digital downloads and not owning any of your content seems backwards. Cheers!

It is kind of crazy, that PCs do not even come with disc readers anymore. Had to buy an external reader when I wanted to boot up some old CDs to transfer my old photos from them.
Very nostalgic! My father have the same dvd game collection that just looks that when he started collecting during mid to late 2000’s

This reminded me of my 2 spindle worth of CDs of games and movies. Maybe I should buy a DVD driver to revisit them once. Waiting for Nero to burn my CDs was some of the most stressful moments of my life.

The second I saw this post I KNEW AoE was gonna be in there. IDC what kind of gamer you are, EVERYONE had a burnt version of AoE buried somewhere in there collection.

I had so many disc organizers… once big HDDs got cheap it became easier to just use multiple digital backups since disc rot was already a major thing with cheap CD-R/DVD-R discs.
I never got the age of empires hype.
Did I just not like it did my PC not support it why I never played it .
But I saw it everywhere.
