Paying top dollar’s just to see 10-20% gains if ever any at all. Just repackaged last gen garbage.

Giving the 1080TI 11GB of VRAM and the 3060 12GB was the biggest mistakes they ever made 💀.

I wish they had more products like that though. The 3080(ti) was honestly pretty close but Covid absolutely slammed that card’s price hard and well…I got one and 8GB was still being choked out in so many games. You got 85% of the flagship’s performance for only about 699. Not too bad at all.

AMD has the best stuff from the discount bin after a few years and they finally have an upscaler that isn’t atrocious on their new cards, but hard to really pick and choice their solid hits most of the time lol. I really loved my 8GB RX 580 though.

Intel is cooking but they produce so, so little GPUs. XeSS is *great* and they have some really cool card designs but they only have weaker cards that are over MSRP.

I’m gonna just keep my EVGA 3090 for another generation. They can pry my 24gb of vram from my cold, dead hands. But dear god, the mid-range market is in shambles. We’ve had 8gb cards since the RX480. That was 9 years ago.

I thought trying to build a pc at the height of the pandemic was bad, but honestly all joy in PC hardware is gone for me. Nvidia gives us scraps, even the 5090 is a failed AI card they can’t sell for 10k. AMD is still $50 less for fewer features. And I’m not sure if Intel will exist in 18 months.

My EVGA FTW3 3080 running the 450w XOC bios is still a MONSTER.

No reason to upgrade anytime soon.

Honestly for those who don’t work in the Computer Graphics or Data mining world, any graphics card works…

Like come on now, your monitor isn’t 4K 120hz rate, your RAM isn’t 64 GB, CPU can’t overclock like the i9-15 series…

Who are we kidding here. You won’t play better games or see better cinematics. You are going to play the same old game and potentially still suck at it

Just stay with your 1060 man. No need to raise the budget

If “lossless scaling” is the reason you’re getting better FPS then are you really winning?

  6. Perfectly satisfied with my 4080 Super. It plays everything I want. I’ll probably wait a couple of generations before upgrading.

It’s a pretty big gain most of the time, and a loss some of the time. But it’s not worth upgrading.

    Hopefully 5060 SUPER incoming.

Thank you poster for making me feel good about buying a RTX3060 of 12 gb xD i dont care what anyone can or will say, i jumped from a GTX 1080 8GB to the RTX 3060 and wow, the difference…and im happy with my graphics card.

Someday i hope to have the economic freedom to buy a new gen graphics card but for now my 3060 is all i need.
