My 3070 has been randomly artifacting so I’ve been on the lookout for a new card before it dies completely. Saw this on the shelf at Walmart and I figured someone probably just put it behind the wrong tag but wanted to try my luck anyway. The lady rang it up and the total came to $789 with tax. I told her the tag had a different price on it. She goes “oh my goodness I’m so sorry” and scanned the $549 tag instead. I grabbed the bag and got out of there as fast as I could. She seemed like a nice lady so I hope she doesn’t get in trouble…

This just reminded me to check and a Walmart not to far from me has 5060 ti and 5070 in stock.
This is the third one this week.
Congratulations. Who gives a shit that Walmart missed out on 200 bucks?. They’ll survive.
Can someone explain what the comments are in a fuss about? I honestly don’t understand
Ass company
Walmart is a multi billion dollar company, this isn’t even 0.00000001% of their profit, who cares.
Enjoy it.
Oh noooooo Wal-Mart lost a couple dollarssss…..
Anyone who is upset is a fuckin’ loser. It’s a multi billion dollar corporation that fucks over as many of their employees as they possibly can.
Fuck capitalism.
Almost got a 240hz monitor for 100 a few months ago. Tbf I thought it was the price (I don’t really buy monitors a whole lot)
Wouldn’t it be put on the scanner system as the actual price for a 5070ti?
I find it happens quite often with Pepsi and Pepsi sugar-free etc. they’ll put the wrong version under the wrong tag but as soon as you get to the scanner, it scans as the actual price…
you sound so caring for her.
Well I don’t actually care about the company at all (They’re not gonna go bankrupt because of this lol), but if that lady got in trouble for this that’s kinda sad. Can someone tell me who they blame when they notice something like this?

YOU WIN!
I don’t really care about Walmart but I sure hope that lady didn’t get fired over this
is it works?
I don’t understand the explanation of this. So you told her the shelf tag was different, so she got up from the cash register went over to the aisle with the gpus and scanned the tag on the shelf where you got it from, thinking that was the real price without checking again or trusting the barcode on the actual box?
I’m not familiar with Walmart there, so I’m curious.
Nice!
I work at a Walmart and I’ve had to do this a couple times. The tag is actually for the non ti model but if it’s behind glass then that’s on the associates for not double checking the tag before stocking it.
You got lucky they didnt check is what im seeing. That price is for the 5070 not the 5070ti. You are very lucky my guy. They did not have to honor that. My walmarts would have fully checked that.
Someone please enlighten me. The sticker is for the wrong product, doesn’t that mean when they scan it at the counter a different price will come up?
LMFAO. The people commenting… “THINK OF WALMART!! ALL THOSE POOR WALMART CEOS!!!!”
Give me a break.
Its amazing what people get upset about. I once was banned from a sub I was very active on and relied on for info that banned me for mentioning how best buy allows you to buy and return multiple times and if warranty is out you could technically buy a new one, swap it out with the old one and then return it – assuming they aren’t matching serials or something. People who think they are some moral authority in charge of the internet are just absurd lol

well done sir, you got one hell of a win.
lol, that poor lady, it happens multiple times that customers put things on wrong aisle after seeing them without caring where did they take it from. Bar codes on the boxes always have the real price. Fooling someone that I took it a counter from where price was xyz despite knowing that it can’t be possible tells a lot. You did not probably hurt Walmart probably you put that lady in problem.
Nice find!
Congrats, enjoy.
LOL The heated comments from ragingly jealous people are worth that price tag alone.
WHAT! I tried to do this yesterday because my local Walmart made the same mistake and they told me they couldn’t match the price. You lucky bastard
I wish my local Walmart sold GPU’s lol
I honestly don’t care about walmart getting screwed. But I also consider people who do this kind of scam to be low lifes.
I saw this exact post the other day, seems like they make this mistake often, other guy actually showed his receipt where they adjusted the price for him!

So you got a 5070ti for what it *should* be priced at
Nice! Great buy for that price dude!
Tf Walmart.
u/QU4NTUM_FLUX congrats on nice deal, but lol i imagine after the checkout you were walking so fast it looked like you shit your pants lmao because running out would be too suspicious
Damn! I paid $860 for mine one day after launch. That’s a great price.
i saw this exact same post a few days ago.. he even has a receipt for it.
if this is how easy to just finesse walmart i need to get packing
EDIT: yeah, here it was: [https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/1lxry1t/i_finessed_walmart/](https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/1lxry1t/i_finessed_walmart/)
Long time ago, if the price shown was actually wrong, they’d sale the item to you for that price.
Then go chew out whoever was supposed to change it.
Randomly looked at the Nvidia site last night and was able to order a founders edition 5070.
In my country it costs around $1100 minimum
