In Time Spy I seem to peak at <2400 MHz GPU clock frequency, with 2296 MHz average frequency. When comparing to the #1 scoring(shunt mod) 5090 laptop their average frequency is 2814 MHz. That's almost at where this example of a 5080 Desktop's frequency clocks to and has almost the same GPU score too.
However, In Monster Hunter Wilds my 5090 laptop's GPU clock frequency will peak into the 2700 MHz range. I can clearly go to 2700 MHz and hit a higher temp based on my MHW monitoring, so temps isn't the cause of the lower frequency in Time Spy.
Why does Time Spy clock the GPU frequency so low? Is Time Spy clock frequency really just coded to be Power consumption dependent? Is there a way to increase the average clock frequency without raising the power limit? I tried locking to a higher frequency in MSI Afterburner using L, but it will just ignore it and stay below 2400 MHz.
