Only 2 out of 7 top riflers on Mirage play connector. Funny considering how almost every rifler on Faceit fights for the spot, thinking you can only get good stats playing in a single position.

If there is an equal amount of positional players in a certain elo, but one position (like window or connector on Mirage) is a heavy favourite, does that mean that picking a less desirable position and getting really good at it is a good way to climb on FACEIT?
(if we only look at ct side win rate)

If you’re a good player you realize cat walk is one of the biggest power positions in the game; the amount of impact a good cat player can have goes understated.

I try to change position based on the game if enemies rush sites I play as an anchor and rotate in a search read the rush, if they often go mid I play windows, con, short and try to be flexible always trying to do some damage, and if it is a mor balanced game where enemies are using all kinds of straps I play on A site, usually connector, but not cuz it’s “best position” but because I like it for variety of things you could do, if my team covers short or connector I play as a rotator guy usually

conn is arguably the most important position on mirage.
the pro level cs should not be extrapolated to the wider community

Faceit pugs don’t play like pro CS.

Yeah but look who plays it lol two of the biggest personalities for their region (which in turn are some of the biggest player bases of faceit)
