The King of the Iron First Tournament 3.

The first Tekken game I ever played was and is still memorable. I didn't understand the story and the lore back then as a kid, but I do. Playing as Jin and other fighters at the time was pretty cool.

It wouldn't be til years later that we find out that Jin's mother, Jun, was still alive and somehow survived her encounter with The Ogre, but The Ogre kind of freaked me out when I was little. I'd say this game's story aged well, and that it's the best entry in the series, maybe even better than Tekken 5. I like how Tekken 8 answers some key questions about Jin's past and other things about Tekken lore.

But, Tekken 3 will always hold a special place for me.

Tekken 3 is the GOAT of fighting games for me.

Tekken Tag was also amazing (especially with the Bowling mini game)

° But I do now. I understand the lore now as an adult. Typo. Lol. But yeah, this game is legendary

  3. I think it might just be the best Playstation game of all time. The first console, not the entire line.

    Although…

I remember my mother breaking the disc in half because of the devilish violence and other religious arguments. So that resulted I couldn’t play Tekken 7 back then, and I never have until now.

Oddly enough, I was allowed to play Super Smash Bros, which is also a fighting game with devilish design, violence, and other religious arguments.

  5. Pretty much anyone with a PlayStation I wager, had a copy of this game.

I did, and I could not tell you the HOURS me and my friends played it. This and Grand Turismo 2

As broke ass kid i played the heck out of this game. Spent a lot on training mode creating combos and learning enemy moves.

Borrowed a friend’s guidebook and discovered about frames and made me play the game eveb more. Learning and mastering each character so much i became confident in using mokujin against other people in the arcades.

Probably its my most favorite game of all time.

It’s as iconic of a game as it gets. I emulate it every now and then, but nothing beats having played it on the hardware back then, as a kid.

Best beat’m’up ever. Smashed three Controllers because of heihachi mishima on hard. And back in the days, Controllers had wires. So one time the whole PS went through the room.😬 Gladly it survived.

Ah yes…the start of the overused devil Jin storyline

Tekken changed too much. I’m sad it’s a different game now. The new direction isn’t for me. Wish they’d re-release the older games. My favs are 4, 5, Tag 2!

Tekken 3 is probably the first “next gen” game I ever played. It’s a toss up between Tekken 3 and Super Mario World for games that “leveled up” significantly with the next gen technology.

My favorite thing is that eating chicken out of the garbage is a game mechanic.

What a game. Fantastic graphics, excellent music. Tekken Forces and the volley ball modes were Incredible fun.

The best thing was you didn’t have to be good at the game to have a fun time. Just a few basic button combinations and you were good to go.
