Black ops 1: One thing I didn’t like about The first black ops zombies is how there was no ranking system or prestige imo.
It made the first zombies pretty much a boring mode
Black Ops 2: somewhat did have a ranking system, but it was very hard to achieve at the time.
The only downside with this rank system I didn’t like is you couldn’t play with random players.
If you didn’t have a skeleton, knife or shotgun, skeleton rank, most likely people wouldn’t play with you.
Black ops 3: it is where ranking and prestige got better for zombies
I love the prestige icons for BO3
Black Op 4: it was OK. Some of them had decent prestige icons.
Black Ops CW: decent again
Black Ops 6: I like how they actually brought back to prestige mode for this game
Overall, I love Black Ops 3 rank, and prestige more.

BO2 as it could at least indicate your skill level and had the coolest symbols
I’m good with Bo4s. Just hit prestige master yesterday
Bo3!!!
I liked black ops 3, especially since the leveling was separate from multiplayer. I do think the perfect system would include a skill rating like black ops 2 though
4 has the best icons and its not even close
Unironically, i don’t like any of em, but aesthetics wise, probably BO2/BO3/WWII. The reason why i don’t because the prestige token and having all stuff locked feels like such a dated concept, especially with loadouts. DRG, a game i feel handle prestige great, let’s you keep your current thing and just adds rewards when you do reach a new prestige, not restricting you. There shouldn’t be drawbacks for enjoying the game and wanting to go through it with a tedious loop in the more modern titles with weapon kits and whatnot.
I was a fan of infinite warfare personally, it was one of the more interesting ones
Black Ops 2 for me. I just wish you could have unlocked them permanently as they were pretty hard for me to maintain. I do like the leveled unlocks, though. I’m not much of a grinder so they do a good job of telling me how much I actually like each version.
I honestly prefer that it’s shared, I like how no matter what I play I’m progressing
BO2 and bo3
Bo2 or no system like bo1 and WaW. Doesn’t seem necessary to me but at least Bo2 kept it simple. Extinction was also kinda alright for the first 10, 15 prestiges.
Bo3 mainly because you only had 35 levels and it didn’t really lock out you of much content to prestige. Everyone that was sane just perma unlocked alchemical first since that was all that really mattered. Bo4 has too many things locked and the 55 levels don’t help. Cold war and IW feels uninspiring and bo6 being shared meant most of my prestiges came from multiplayer. Didn’t prestige in WW2 so I don’t know there.
Black Ops 2 as it varies in a direct reflection of your play
Black Ops 6 because cross progression is amazing, hands down one of the best things they’ve done recently. I don’t have to level up a gun or even my account in each game mode separately. I can play zombies and then bring a gun with all sorts of attachments to MP and vice versa. Love that, and it’s classic prestige tiers and mastery, so that’s a bonus too.
