Death Stranding 2 is easily one of the best-looking games ever made, there can be no denying that. It looks absolutely stunning, and its screenshots of its world are often mistaken for real-life images, but the one dead giveaway that you’re looking at a Death Stranding 2 screenshot is probably the 50 different ramps and generators in the background.

Death Stranding 2 players have had a number of nitpicks with the title ever since it launched, ranging from the ease of using vehicles to the difficulty of its five-star grind, but one of the biggest is that the game seems to be sharing a lot more player structures this time around. While not a bad thing from a gameplay perspective, it does ruin the lonely vibes that people enjoyed about the first game.

Death Stranding 2 Players Are Calling For Filters To Remove Excessive Player Structures

A Reddit user called Mithmorthmin showcased on the Death Stranding 2 subreddit (thanks GamesRadar) exactly how bad the player structure clutter can get, as they share an image of themselves stumbling across a small area that has a total of four player structures, a monorail in the background, seven different sets of footprints, and two vehicles just left in the open. Not great when you’re looking for a more isolated experience.

Mithmorthmin also claims to have seen “much worse instances than this”, which has fans calling for optional toggles or filters that give players more control over what they see. A user called FlibbertyGibberts0 calls for the next patch to add a Supply Request toggle, while some even consider there to be too many player structures dotted around too.

Thankfully, there is an option to minimize the number of structures and signs built by other players, but some people just want the signs gone. You can also play the game offline to get rid of everything, but again, it’s an all or nothing approach that isn’t quite what fans want. A few more toggles and options would do wonders to make Death Stranding 2 more visually appealing, or maybe we’re all falling into Kojima’s trap and regretting our connections in the first place?
