There use to be a format the pirating communities used back in the 2000’s that was a .bin file and a 80mb limewire download would contain a 200+MB game. Seems like a fever dream. Was it ?

Because most distributed things are already pretty compressed. Try compressing a JPG or a ZIP file…doesn’t go much further…
