in the happy together quest I rushed it because this was my first playthrough and didn't know what to do and wen I saw the cops grieving I thought that was scripted but then I found out you can save the guy but it was to late go back because I already got a bunch of legendary new gear so what do I do now got any advice

Second playthrough I messed up too so I killed that f..ckr. Headshot. Clean. She got involved too so I zeroed her too.
I did the same thing. I really didn’t want to go back to a previous save, if this added any story elements I would have, but it is just a random side gig.
There is nothing you can do exempt go back to a previous save and make sure you choose the right dialogue choices when talking with him. If you choose the wrong dialogue the result is with him dying.
Nothing you can do besides load a previous save or start a new playthrough. Doesn’t affect anything though, so I wouldn’t stress about it.
sometimes I like to pick up the cop with the one perk and throw em tbh
When i saw that happened I immediately loaded a previous save, i empathize with people who are depressed , as i am also one.
I did the same thing on my first playthrough. That was how I learnt that some quests have timers/wrong dialogue options.
Made very sure to do gigs that I cared about ASAP and if that wasn’t possible look up whether they were on a timer.
