There was a post here recently that added a “flash” in the middle of the headshot blood splatter, and that made the shots look so much better.
I believe this is a feature that should return, and it definitely contributes to this game feeling much different compared to CS:GO for a lot of players with thousands of hours.

Yup. Actually all of cs2 is less impactful and clear. I still have moments with 15 ping where I have to double take back to an enemy that I killed because of the crazy kill delay sometimes.

Less shit on the screen to potentially obstruct things beyond the character model is objectively better.
Dead guy is dead in both versions but in one of them I can see what’s behind him.

It is very known that the devs wanted to show less blood in the game as whole.

Agreed. While less visual clutter is important, this is not one of the areas where it should be skimped out on as visual feedback is so highly important
