Well, no comercial browser is 100% private by default. Firefox has Google as the default search engine too, and even Brave can use some tweaking in the settings, in addition to being Chromium-based. It’s always a matter of how much tweaking is really need it to make it fairly private, and how easily the average user can do it.

Also, a huge amount of Mozilla’s funding comes from their deal with Google. Wouldn’t be surprised if, as part of that deal, Firefox were forced to promote Google tools/hardware

Well Google does pay like 20 billion to Apple to make it the default engine. But yeah, I see the point.

Well Google pays them like 20 billion I think, but once you change search engine it’s pretty good and private.

You do know that you can change the search engine right?

They pay Apple $20B a year to be set as the default search engine.

What do you expect an Apple browser to have as default? Bing? Yahoo? Fucking Alta Vista?
