We want a battlefield with battlefield modes. That should be the main focus. Basicly a BF3/BF4 with state of the art mechanics, QoL improvements (like BF3 didn’t have (mini-)map markings for the exact area to take a flag),…
We don’t need the focus on a battle royal mode.
2042 had major issues, besides not beeing ready at all, because the focus was on an extraction mode nobody asked for and nobody played later. The whole class system got thrown out to have operators because of that mode.
Why do they never learn?
If you really want to add a mode like that a) finish proper battlefield modes first or b) simply create a new IP.

All they have to do is make this game more competitive to actually get streamers and youtubers to want to make videos about it and shit, but they keep catering to arcade, casuals with massive game mods where they can’t balance shit like all the clusterfucky random death/shit spawns, vehicles, etc. Don’t get me wrong conquest was goated until after bf4, or bfv maybe.
But after bf4 they started gutting just about every competitive feature or small game mode. Stuff the community actually enjoys when alot of casuals drop off from the occasional big gamemode they woupd play. They dont even put domination in the games anymore 🥲🥲🥲 all Cause their stupid esports fell flat with bf4 and what do you know everything around good around gameplay decreases cause they aren’t trying to meet that standard anymore. Who cares about good gameplay right as long as we can market to kids shit like “battle royal” a trend that died years ago…
