There pretty much playing a parody of Magic the Gathering. Look into your local game shop and I’m sure you’ll find some staff that would be willing to teach you.
There’s also preconstructed decks you can buy for ~$20 (last I checked), so you can get started without having to build a deck.

There’s actual physical versions of that game Card Wars from Adventure Time! I own a lot of the decks and they’re quite fun to play 😁 The art is amazing. You’ll love it if you’re into Adventure Time.
I believe there’s a Kickstarter still live right now with some new decks that are coming out.
