Johnny’s sweet on Panam, and inclined to be less of a dick whenever she’s involved. But even without that, for all his seething anger, he also appreciates how important nice, quiet moments like this are, in a world with so few of them.
He’s an asshole, but it’s because he believes it to be necessary, the only appropriate response to a world gone completely mad. He doesn’t want to be an asshole just for the sake of it. You can tell, in little moments like these, that he *knows* what a pain he is to deal with, and while he won’t stop because it’s Important, he *will* try to be gentle on the few occasions he can.
Very complex guy, Silverhand. But we all are.

one of the few Bro moments with silverhand. only other one is the rollercoaster. “bet you screem like a little girl” and he was the one to scream first while V was cheering and having a gasser.

I really fell for all that youtuber ragebait about how Keanu ruined silverhand and cyberpunk and how they rewrote the story for him.
Years later I’m so glad he’s silverhand. It’s an iconic performance from him up there with Neo and John Wick. Say what you want about his acting range but I couldn’t think of anyone better for silverhand.
