It’s so they can keep the real players out and let cheaters play in peace
you need to reach rank 10 to unlock it. You probably have reduced xp rn so that’s why.
It’s easy and not that long if you play arms race, If you’re decent on arms race (be placed 3rd place consistently for example) you can get it in no more than 5 games. Had this issue with my friends getting into the game, and thus I had to find the optimal route.
Its suppose to take time. A lot of games lock competitive away for a couple of days when you are new.
It takes painfully long because you’re not skilled enough to play in competitive game modes yet. If you were ready it can be done in a single session lasting a couple of hours
