Its definitely the most “evil” ending but its great lore wise especially if you play Corpo V.

all the endings are so well written .. and I really LOVE that the game hasn’t a single cliche, Holywood happy ending

It’s really grim and I think it’s the most cyberpunk ending. The themes around transhumanism and corporate power come full circle and its most troubling implications are realised. The twist around Yorinobu actually trying to prevent it was really good too; it completely blindsided me.
I found the other endings far less satisfying. Especially temperance.

Don’t see how this is evil. This was my 1st ending and I chose it cuz I 1. Didn’t want to get friends in danger. 2. Fuck Johnny (that’s how I saw it in the 1st playthrough)
In the end I got 6 months of human life with the person I am in love with and no terrorist in my head.
The worst ending truly is a NUSA ending. Because your dreams die.

I both hated it for my V, and loved it because it showed the true inhumanity you get from siding with the corpos

Ahah, I got it first! Horrific.
To me, the worst ending was *Things Done Changed.* I almost cried, and felt depressed for a few hours.

I honestly kinda love it, but only if you decide to leave. I feel like that symbolizes V coming to terms with their death, accepting it, and possibly making the best of the time they have left. Both variants of the ending also feel the most ‘cyberpunk’ to me, and weirdly the most satisfying, as the Sun, Star, and Temperance try too much to pretend they’re the better endings while still being bitter sweet at best. Still prefer any of those to the Tower, which would have been a perfectly fine and satisfying ending if they didn’t almost completely remove V’s ability to express acceptance of their fate…

I feel like the Tower ending is slightly worse

I would argue the “absolutely unequivocally the worst ending” would go to the suicide ending

I consider one of the more positive endings.
You get back to good graces with Arasaka, get rid of that cancer of a punk Johnny, don’t burn any contacts really or lead to the deaths of any of your friends, etc.
All in all my go-to-ending.

The false sense of urgency leading into *this* ending if you give in and “rush” through the main story is why i disliked cyberpunk on my first play through.
I’m so happy i went back and did *all* of the sidequests and other endings, but i imagine many didn’t which is why they’re left with a sour taste on the game.

Was this ending not in the game initially? Cos I got all endings but this doesn’t seem to ring a bell.

It being the “worst” ending in the traditional storytelling sense makes it the “best” ending for a dystopian game called “Cyberpunk” where the main motto is “there are no happy endings in Night City”.
It is objectively the worst ending for V though, and Temperance is the best ending for all those involved. The secret ending is probably the best ending overall though, just because of how badass it is.
