If you're like me, you probably always used to restart the solo match to get the character you want to play as, or to quickly get back into the game if you're about to die, but why the hell is it absent all of a sudden? Yes, I just bought this game for myself, but I was playing it with my cousin on his PS5 the other day and it had a restart option on his, so what's going on? Now I just have to deal with two long loading screens every time I could've just restarted? What the hell? Sorry for the rant, but I'm having a great day as it is and I'm not in the mood to be inconvenied by a game right now.

Your playing online is why, you can only reset in an offline match.
if you are on pc, you can use the console to bind a key to “fast_restart” (i think its been a while) to get the experience of doing so while playing online
Are you perchance playing on PC? Because if so there’s a mod that lets you restart solo games despite being connected to the Internet. If not, unfortunately you’ll just have to stick with toughing out the loading screen I fear
