Still got my… woah what the fuck were they called? The case thing that can hold a bunch of CDs full of mp3 CDs from around 08-09 sliding around the floor in the back of my car haha. When I lose reception, comes in hot.

Yeah that was last year. Made a cd with all the classic Marathon games so I could play them on my Power Macintosh, didn’t have a flash solution for the machine yet back then.

Burned a couple of CD’s last week for the first time in years. The one thing I haven’t done is burn a blu-ray, I have 50 of the 25gb bastards and have had them since getting this drive in 2014.

I still burn CD’s. It’s my primary method of getting software onto my Windows 98 laptop.

And, that CD was burned unsuccessfully

I still burn CDs from time to time. I think the last one I burned was the Windows XP MUI.

Just the other day, you burn an iso for some system and everything still work the same. Just a lot slower.

I play with retro hardware so I still burn CD/DVDs from time to time. Then once the system is setup I use Virtualization tools for ISO images.

I don’t think I’ve ever burned one to begin with but I did snap one in half. Does that count…

No joke I have a relative that makes cakes and they recently did a “90’s retro type” theme and we popped a lightscribe disc on there that I burned specifically to look like a custom mix cd, complete with the jazz pattern and the recipient’s face on it.
Yeah, I know, lightscribe came out in 2004, but it looked cool, damnit. I even put a shitload of old 90’s commercials on it just in case they popped it into a PC.

One day your mom picked you up for the last time.

I don’t burn CDs anymore. I burn Blu-rays.

I actually remember my last burned CD. Buddy of mine has an 80s VW Vanagan he road trips in, and I made him a road trip mixtape disc for his birthday one year. I think it was my last burnable disc, and my new build no longer has a disc player/burner in it.

It was only like a year ago, but perhaps. I don’t have anyone who needs them anymore.

I did that yesterday. I will again in a few months for sure.

I never burnt a single personal cd or dvd. I had pc from like 1997 but it had cdrom, the next one I bought was p3 then coppermine and then sempron and c2d. All of them were able to run bootable usb, with some prayers of course. Basically, 2003 for me was the day I (and most of my friends) stopped using optic drives completely, like only optical drive i had was in ps4 or ps5 or now xbox. To get some large data we in Ukraine mostly used drive pockets: a 3.5” hdd tray in which you could just hot plug yours, so daemon tools was our only friend at that time 🙂

Well, it hasn’t happened yet. Still burning my music to CDs.
Silent_Chemistry8576
I still burn backups of my personal PC games when I need to use a physical copy or I need windows on a DVD or CD. Just recently picked up a LG Blu ray 3.5 drive so I’m looking forward to backing up my movie collection. I’ll keep ripping and burning until it is done in hell.
