2077 is so cool it made Edgerunners possible in the first place. And none of the characters in S1 can hold a fucking candle to Jackie Welles or V.
No one wants to admit it but Edgerunners really did give cyberpunk a second wind
Edgerunners helped… but it was CDPR doing the Lords work by fixing the game and continuing to improve it as well that has made it what it is today.
Man PCGAMER had such a hate boner for this game during its v1.x phase. Constant articles that said CDPR should cut their losses and move on.
If 2077 was ass it would’ve never gotten an anime. Edgerunners was good but 2077’s story bodies it every time.

I always hate takes like this like there wasn’t already a huge fan base for this game(me included) since release day. The anime helped but it didn’t make cyberpunk 2077 what it is cause edgerunners still doesn’t hold a candle to the game imo.

“Made Cyberpunk 2077 cool again”? Dude, it was already incredible to begin with, just because they stuffed it up at the start doesn’t mean it wasn’t cool already. CDPR put in work to fix it and it’s one of my favourite games of all time and I keep wanting to re-play it, that’s how cool it is.
The anime was better 🤷♂️
