Good, a lot of the time when games like Helldivers hit gamepass they end up getting flooded with some of the most annoying, headache inducing moronic people humanly imaginable.

Makes sense, I just hate having to pay for multiplayer games on console, since I need to maintain (some level) of game pass to even play online.
As it shouldn’t, it is still a Sony game and if this ends up having decent sale figures, there’s a chance of exclusivity being less and less, plus the game itself is below £40/$45 (I think)
Honestly, the game is popular and fairly priced. In a world of $80 base games a quality one like this being 40 is more than fair. Might be the first time in years I buy a full priced game.

Edit: for everyone saying “they get compensated for it being on gamepass.” Yes Im aware. And Sony probably didn’t think the compensation was enough or believe the sales of the game would be more than the compensation.
Honestly this right here shows the downside of Gamepass. The hype for a lot of Xbox players just vanished with this announcement because they refuse to buy games now no matter how good the game is.

Rightfully so. Gamepass is reserved for new Bethesda and EA slop, not quality games.

This will really be a test for Xbox gamers. We have seen how Xbox exclusives sell on PlayStation when they launch but Xbox players don’t just buy games, the ones that do buy probably has a pc and already owns Helldivers.
This isn’t a shot at Xbox gamers. I fully understand why most only play gamepass games, it is worth a Xbox consoles weight in gold. That said this game is also worth more than its weight in gold
It was probably a mistake to teach gamers that games are free.

I think I read that the game isn’t even on ps+? So tbh that’s expected lol.. and if it was coming to gamepass Xbox would have been more then happy to announce that at the same time the game was announced yesterday coming. The Xbox gamers who thought that it would go to gamepass are kind of delusional and I say that as Xbox gamer.

I’d be a little disappointed if it was $80 but for how many hours I have in the game on steam, it’s price is more than reasonable for Xbox divers

I want to be annoyed by this but…I’m just not. Given that I’d either have to play it solo or pair up with randoms, I’m forced to concede that the game probably just isn’t for me anyway. Maybe getting hands on and actually playing it would convince me otherwise, that it can still be fun when played that way – though, that 100% wasn’t the case for FBC: Firebreak – but I’m content to just let it go.
Maybe there will be a free play weekend on Steam at some point and, if I’m still interested, I can finally try it then.
Honestly that’s fair. $40 is a very good price for this game. And we have pretty much every other game on game pass so it is not to big of a deal to pay for a game every now and again
I just want cross progression. Already own it on PS but would buy it on Xbox to make it easier to play with my friends
There are very few games I buy, and even fewer I buy “premium” in-game credit for. Helldivers 2 is a rare exception. You can even farm for it if you want to, but their Warbond DLC is always fun and mixes the game up.
Worth the full price.

I bought it on Playstation at release, it’s definitely worth 40 bucks especially since they’ve added all sorts if stuff since then. Highly recommend.
It’s reasonably priced at $40 dollars, it’s been wildly successful and it looks like an absolute ball. Not only am I happy it’s coming to Xbox in the first place, but I am a-okay paying an upfront price.
I was not aware that so many people on Xbox refuse to purchase games anymore and only download it if it’s on the gamepass.

Never say never as MS presumably hasn’t shown their wallet yet, it’s the only true reason 3rd parties add their games to the service anyway but why is the first question for games on Xbox (or at least of some significance) is “Can I get it on GP?”
