Starvaders is a sleeper hit for real, more people need to check it out, so much fun

Huh, surprised Inscryption isn’t there.
SemenSphinx
Never heard of the first or last one. Interesting

Nice monster train 1&2!
gorka_la_pork
And yet no love for “Rogue Light Deck Builder”, a chillout game where you build a wooden porch one plank at a time, using an unreliable source of illumination (aka a “rogue light”)
No I’m not kidding, this is a real game. Props to the developer for following through on what must have been a silly 3AM joke.

Thanks, never heard of some of these, never have time to check out unless it’s in front of me!
Innuendum
Fuck yes Shogun Showdown!
ZDTreefur
This has become my favorite genre, and I’m a junkie now, playing pretty much all of them.

I’ve seen people talk about Cobalt Core, maybe I should give it a looksee (after I get more of my backlog down)

STS is my top roguelike all time. The game is designed perfectly
Antisocialsocialite9
Are any of these actually as fun and engaging as Balatro? I feel like that game is extremely unique
TroyFerris13
crazy i havent stopped playing slay the spire after 500hours but quit balatro after about 10hrs
crestmoorboy
Just picked up monster train 2, don’t sleep on it, it’s really fun.
Emberward is also my all time favorite tower defense game (even over Bloons TD6). The synergies and the rogue like elements make every run feel so unique.
TheFakeJohnHelldiver
I would not call shogun showdown a deckbuilder lol but it’s definitely a fantastic rougelike.
I would call it a rougelike strategy/turn based game.

Sol Cesto is French Game ! Was in early access not so long ago, I don’t know if the 1.0 is out already.
Capek95
slay the spire is the #1 for me regardless. i tried balatro, its fun, but it gets boring so incredibly fast.
LobotomyFirefly
Where can I find this?
KevlarGorilla
I love me some cobalt core.
fuzzynavel34
I’ve played most of these!
They are all pretty much awesome, although I’m loving Starvaders right now.
Still need to try Monster Train, Emberward and Sol Cesto
Cohenbby
Emberward is gangsta, highly recommend to all.
StompsDaWombat
Balatro is a game I wish I loved more than I did. It should’ve been one of those all-consuming games that steadily ruined my life, but it ended up being a game I really enjoyed for the first 20 hours or so and then bounced off pretty hard.
LinkFan001
Emberward is a tower defense with deck building elements. Keep that in mind if you want to try it. Still highly recommend, It is tremendous fun and has a great vibe.
OfArgyll
My absolute favourite Roguelike Deckbuilder that somehow goes under the radar is “Chrono Ark” by Al Fine. I couldn’t recommend this game enough.
Tundric_Dragon
Across the Obelisk is another good one. It’s a multi-player rogue like deck builder, and it does a very good job of it.
I’d like to highlight a game that misses this cut (91% at time of me writing this) – Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles.
If you like the games listed here, give this one a go!
Demondevil2002
Balatro and slay the spire are so good
Most_Tangelo
I had so much hope for Dungeon Drafters. Too bad it never reached the polish of these (well those on here I have played). I look at Star Vaders and Shogun Showdown every sale and then put off getting them for next sale. I think I’m for sure gonna pull the trigger on one now.
Rich_Cat_69
Patently waiting for Slay the Spire 2
_b1ack0ut
I don’t really play many deckbuilders, (like really, I think it’s just been Marvel’s Midnight Suns, if that even counts, and a couple I played on mobile like a decade ago)
But I’d like to get into one. Which is your favourite, and why?

Sorry, did you mean [rogue light deck builder](https://store.steampowered.com/app/3149370/ROGUE_LIGHT_DECK_BUILDER/)?
