made this in gimp after realizing that 2019 when apple card came out matches when people started financing titan black XP and other 4090 level expenses
– rtx 4090: financed
– iphone 14 pro: financed
– instant noodles: believe it or not, also financed

My main expense on Amazon is vup noodle (though I get the fancy ones that are like a $1 ea.
So when I signed up for an Amazon card I technically financed cup noodle!

I mean, I put the 5090 on my credit card so I could get the points – I then paid it off the next day.

Not to dunk on anyone, it’s just a matter of different practices I suppose, but to my European(/Belgian) brain this is nigh incomprehensible 😅 For ‘regular’ consumer goods, I’d only consider buying them if I can afford them, like, right now. Only big expenses like a house would be the exception to that.

Okay, here’s my somewhat controversial take:
Financing stuff is fine, as long as it provides you with actual value and it’s done in a way where it doesn’t overwhelm your monthly budget.

ngl would have been funnier if the instant noodles were the only thing financed
