I knew about this for a while. It’s why I don’t see stuff from EA, Ubisoft, Rockstar, 2K, Microsoft etc.

Can someone elaborate on the spyware part?
Been doing that for a while, for quite a few AAA publishers, like Activision, EA, Ubisoft and a few others, but it’s definitely nice to have a reminder.
It also works retroactively on “newer releases” or Steam Sales: the game will be either not shown or automatically marked as ignored, which is very nice on big publisher sales that you absolutely do not care about!
