Rockstar remembers there’s more to life than GTAO, they just dropped a trailer for a new Red Dead Redemption Online update for the first time in years (and after signaling they were done with the game)

Definitely surprising to see. A welcome one too. I think they dropped their last GTA V update, so we’ll see if they throw us some bones on RDO until GTA 6 drops.

GTA delayed = we need a boost to our Q42025 earnings

Isn’t RDR2 Online dead? I tried it last week, and there was only 1 guy running in circle in St-Denis, trying to find people to kill. He killed me and I logged off.

This is wild. They’ve basically shown zero support since its launch. I wonder if it will be enough to get people back to it. I will definitely be checking this out.

hopefully this coincides with a 60fps patch. for the love of all that is holy.

  6. any excuse to revisit RDO when it’s a bit busier is fine by me

So what does this actually add?

Can I have a bartender at my moonshine shack?

    Can I buy property?

Can I buy useful upgrades for my camp?

  8. Can’t be bothered with the online. Give us a single player expansion

This makes me really happy. I’m hoping that they are beginning to resume updates in preparation for a next gen release but we will see.

I would fucking love some new single player content, but here we are.

Who cares, Rockstar really lost their touch catering to the multiplayer crowd, gta v was gimped because of this

Didn’t they never even finish the mp storyline?

People so excited for this, when they spawn in and get lasso’d and dragged a mile.

As bare bones as this is…it does allude to two things:

    1. Rockstar is still willing to put forth SOME effort in the red dead online community. Minimal as it is. Ill take it.

And 2. Undead? Machine enemies….etc? This means we have assets for potential other things in the future should we manage to go that route. Which would be most welcome.

Hope one day we get an undead nightmare 2 online. I’d pay a pretty penny for this being moved beyond the realm of a few telegram missions at some point. Maybe this is a testing ground for later projects.

  15. Hopefully this update adds a 60fps patch, it’s so brutal on 30.

I wish it didn’t take up 122gb of space to reinstall it.

I’m surprised it wasn’t a singleplayer Undead Nightmare sort of thing considering how low the online player base is.

    Bummed really

I knew there was gonna be someone complaining…I didn’t expect it to be the top comment though.

  19. I haven’t touched GTA V Online in a loooong time. The online lobbies are just not what they used to be. And I honestly have no more interest playing it.

But this news is very welcome, I’d love some new content in RD Online

  20. The_Legend_of_Xeno

I absolutely love the RDR and GTA games. I’ve never spent a second in RDR or GTA online. I can’t think of anything I’d rather do less.

  21. thereiam420

Please don’t break my mods for some stupid bullshit in online.

  22. Master_Opening8434

Neat. Not gonna make me reinstall it but I rather have some people happy then nobody get anything
