If the whole of the Cyberpunk game had just been PL, I still would say it’s one the best games I’ve ever played by a long shot. Pure cinema.

Easily but it’s honestly a low bar to clear since “most” AAA is mostly slop these days.

Phantom Liberty is a 10 for me, base game wasn’t.
Baharroth123
Too short to compare tbh.

Than MOST? No. Than some? Sure, but there’s a lot of good triple A games out there just in the general history of gaming that I cannot put phantom liberty alone above
Cautious-Economist54
graphics and story wise 🙂
MrLightning-Bolt
Course not. Where did you get that idea?

Phantom liberty is the better than the base game it comes from. They really had their shir dialed in when the made and wrote it. If they had that quality for the rest of the base game. It’d be up there as one of greatest pieces of gaming ever. Yeah I’m still mad I can’t mantis wall climb or have my character backstory

It absolutely is and yet it’s not the best cdpr’s expansion hehe

Phantom liberty is better than base 2077

It’s kinda an unfair comparison, PL had the benefit of years of updates before release, hindsight on flaws of the base game, and a lot of people who were really disappointed in cyberpunk wouldn’t have bought the dlc, so a lot of the conversation becomes a slight echo chamber.

15-20 years ago Phantom Liberty would have qualified as a AAA game.

Yes, but these days that’s setting the bar in hell.

My favorite DLC of all times. Atmospheric, enjoyable af, perfect part of main game, adding awesome soundtrack, story, and expanding world of basic game, giving consequences of your choices in DLC.

Absolutely
Jealous-Knowledge-56
It was my game of the year by itself, so yes.
Ghostdude11571
It’s by far the best DLC I’ve ever played for a game. When I bought it I thought it was nothing more than a map expansion and a couple of side missions. Boy was I wrong. Compared to a few recent AAA games yeah it’s far superior. Almost good enough to just be a game of its own.

From my 1st time playing it..Only don’t like the quest where >!u have to guide reed through the staircase !<

I think it’s the best narrative experience in a video game. At least as far as western games.
But from a pure gameplay perspective, no. Not even close.

Better than most triple A games?
Honestly… no.
It is Damn good. But I think it exists as one of the best “expansions” to a triple A game of all time, and I think in the great comeback story of Cyberpunk 2077, it exists as the crown jewel, a “perfect finale” if you will.
But if it was a stand alone game? I’d be a little disappointed.

Idk a lot of AAA games are a joke. Its like saying that standard person will beat crippled 90 year graveyard digger

I wonder what the cyberpunk sub thinks
obiwanCannoli69
Low effort bait. Plenty of great stuff out there. Try harder to look maybe
Edit: By the way, did several playthroughs of this DLC and the full game and I adore it. My favorite first person experience, which is rare in titles like this. But no.

Easily
No doubt
