Oblivion (OG) running under Windows on the Surface Duo. 30FPS Medium Settings at a native 2700×1800 (2.3x 1080p). Windows does exhibit some odd behavior but I was able to work around it. The game and Steam installed and ran flawlessly though.

That’s like watching a David Lynch movie on the first iPhone.

  2. I know of a YouTube channel who lives for that sort of thing

It’s always kinda cool to see what people come up with. I’m too lazy but it’s funny to see mfs running Skyrim on their roomba or something.

This is so cool!! What other games do you ply on this or what other devices do you use to play? I remember i once watched this one fallout 3 video where it ran on the GPD Win.

I bought a surface duo after they’ve pretty much died out, wish it had a good battery, absolutely my favorite shaped and type of device, perfect for reading manga on.

Would be really cool if you could have the interactive world map on the top screen while playing on the bottom screen. Kinda like the 3DS or Wii U.

I have the same obsession. I modded my 3ds to run windows and played mc on it, albeit slowly

When it’s sitting on a desk attached to a keyboard it’s effectively a dual (very small) monitor PC setup with a bunch of additional inconveniences.

  9. The Surface Duo is low key a solid “around the house” WiFi device for me. After I finish work and close the laptop I usually have emails and documents to send/review here and there in the evening. I grab the Duo because it’s much more productive than my iPhone but helps me not open back the laptop and get sucked into real work.

Yeah, I get it. Played Postal 2 on my 3ds recently. Even got gyro aiming working!

The surface duo is quite an interesting device for WoA, the LG G8X is similar in that sense but sadly the second display doesn’t work, and likely never will.

Me too it’s so interesting lol

Sort of gives me that futuristic feeling like “did you know I figured out how to play Half Life on a phone that costs $20!”

I’d love a surface duo (that’s what it’s called right?) so badly. I’d stream games to one screen and throw on a movie or YouTube video on another and attach a controller to the sides. I’ve checked them out but used is still so damn expensive.

  14. I wanted one of these phones. Too bad it was restrictively expensive.

Wouldn‘t that be a great fit for a Fallout game?
