We’re officially past the halfway mark of 2025, and around this time, things are starting to heat up on the gaming calendar. This month, Nintendo continues to build its Switch 2 library with more games, but it looks like Donkey Kong Bananza is going to be the main event here. DK hasn’t starred in a solo 3D game in decades, and Bananza looks like it could be the mighty ape’s biggest adventure to date. Switch 2 owners can also look forward to an enhanced edition of Super Mario Party Jamboree and Wild Hearts S this month.

July is also a great month for some tee-en-tee–it’s dynamite!–with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 on PC and console. The new versions of these classic skateboarding games look great and the updated soundtrack has quite a few modern gems in the mix. Destiny 2 fans can also prepare to jump into a brand-new saga when the Edge of Fate expansion rolls around, and after some long delays, Killing Floor 3 and Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game will both be out this month.
