I'm already 120 hours into cyberpunk, guys, but I've still made little progress in the main plot. LOL
Reason? This game is so fucking good. There's a lot to do, or simply walking around the map is satisfying.

I'm at the point right before the mission in Japantown with Takemura and the call to Mr. Hands (which I believe starts missions about the Voodoo Boys). But I've already finished all my gigs with the nomade channel, I'm one cyberpsychopath away from finishing this quest…

The question is, do I progress further in the story, or can I continue at this pace? I'm afraid the main plot will hit an urgent pace and there will be no stopping it. Is there a moment in the middle of the campaign that you think is most conducive to doing the rest of the exploration?
Give your opinion. Thank you in advance.

Theres no urgent missions in the game, theres a clearly labelled point of no return but thats all

There’s always time to do Side missions, the GAme doesn’t really force you into anything.

  3. theres a clearly labeled point of no return for the ending so dont worry! theres like a gazillion side quests you can do lmfao

You can literally just walk away from most missions at any time. I accidentally ran past take takemura before the parade and triggered the mission. Just kept on running and started another mission. When i finally went back, he wasn’t thrilled about waiting 2 weeks, but he waited.

At this point get phantom liberty if you haven’t already done so.

It’s gotten to a point that “Meet Hanako at Embers” is an internet meme at this point. 🤣 There’s no urgency but there are like maybe two or three side quests that will disappear if you progressed past a certain point in the story.

That’s one of the great things about this game. You can literally do all other missions aside from the main story that have great depth and story.

You’ll get a message stating you will not be able to stop once starting the last mission.

  8. Nothing in the game is deadline sensitive. Certain quests can only be started at certain times, but if you get there off-season it’ll literally just wait until it’s time to get started. Take it at your own pace. It’s all good.

If you’re that far ahead, I recommend the highwayman gig if you haven’t done it, to start it go where the 6th street gun race mission is and behind the gun store nearby there is a house with a garage you can get into and grab the picture to start the gig,: it gets you a motorcycle; otherwise I recommend the mini arcade games. And if you want a small one you can do the hidden quest to get the monster truck; if I remember correctly if have to go to the church that in the badlands; the one under pasifica; at 12:00 am at mess with the computer, then in the badlands stand on a certain mattress;don’t remember where just remember it’s in the badlands on side with Dakota on the bottom; at 3:30 am for 30 in game minutes, then you see a big cube and spawn next to the vehicle; the vehicle is named demiurge; i believe their is a youtube video about it. Edit, i forgot to mention If you are going to do the mini arcade game;roach race or trauma one, there is in game prizes if you get top scores, I recommend doing the roach race first, the trauma is hard for top scores

  10. Go Perk Shard hunting or outfit collecting. There’s 10-12 shards I believe to get you some additional points towards specs, and there’s some crazy clothing out there. I’ve also taken up the hobby of looking for cool ass screenshots to put in the picture frames at all the apartments, get more familiar with taking in-game shots.

Only one that is timed within the quest is the start of phantom liberty

So if Pananam, get an Aldecaldos quest or her equiv in the find Ev line calls, go do their stuff.

If you see a meet someone at Embers quest park that!!

Otherwise I cant think of any quests that have a time limit.

The dlc Phantom Liberty is locked behind doing the find Ev and the questline juat beyond that.

Oh boy. Just wait till you get Phantom Liberty.
If you already have it , it’ll start after you are done with the Voodoo Boyz
And almost ALL the loot in PL is orange tier .
    Happy Hacking Choom!

  14. A. As a photo boi. . . banger shot. I need to remember the Bakeneko can be added to pictures more.

    B. I would suggest progressing more. I’m on my 5th or 7th playthrough (Switch2 this time. Only the 3rd game [for me] to make the 3 console leap with SkyRim doing 5 [for me] now with Switch2.) and am in the same spot or rather a bit further. Not wanting to spoil but Rogue has ‘Gigs’ a bit further on and Regina has another quest I think. Also . . . I don’t know you but you will replay this. And, I know, the cuteness wont hit as hard. The jobs will all be the same. But the world is just as wonderful as ever. So much so I’m walking from Arasaka tower to do the second mission of a Quest that many argue is the best and I’m guessing you are not there yet. This is a game to saver but if your asking . . . and still reading this then . . . you know the answer.

    C. YES people are burning with EMBERS to see you.

**Moderate spoiler alert for anyone who’s not got past the Konpeki Plaza mission**

I personally think it makes MORE sense to do as many side missions as you can first before following the main story, V is supposed to be becoming a legendary merc, so doing merc work is the way to do that.

It’s slightly out of sync with the story, but that’s a flaw with the way the game’s written in my view. They should have kept the fact that V was dying and Johnny was taking over until much later in the game. It would have been a great “reveal” after getting to know and even liking Johnny, and it would also mean that doing all the side missions makes more sense narratively. The urgency should only have been introduced later on.

But they unfortunately fell into the trap of giving the main missions that urgency, meaning logically, V should only be focussing exclusively on that. Many games do this and I don’t understand why – “QUICK THERE’S NO TIME TO LOSE, THE NEXT PIECE OF THE PUZZLE TO STOPPING THE IMMINENT END OF OUR SPECIES POINTS HERE, WE HAVE TO GET THERE NOW!” or whatever. Ok cool but in just gonna do this set of missions where I learn to dance/cook etc. first.
