It’s like game companies strike gold then forget and never do it again.

Chaos Theory may be my favorite online multiplayer of any game. It’s a crime Ubishit stopped making Splinter Cell games.

Spies vs Mercs was unlike anything else. Would love a new splinter cell with some spies v mercs.

  4. Actually, wasn’t Pandora Tomorrow the first splinter cell title with multiplayer??

  5. OtterishDreams

The game pic you posted didnt have multiplayer

  6. Didn’t the multiplayer debut with Pandora Tomorrow?

A buddy and I would play all night winning round after round. Good memories.

Chaos Theory and Blacklist had some pretty great multiplayer. My favorite of Chaos was that when you’re in Seoul you talk to the other guys, always loved that integration in the story.

I’ll throw another one on the pile. That Assassin’s Creed multiplayer mode was ahead of its time. Great little social deception game kinda like a themed Among Us.

Chaos theory had the best multi player ever. My friends and I all played spies vs mercs one day and we didn’t realize it would be the last time.

Chris, Jim & Ryan, I miss you guys

  10. I miss it dearly. I still remember being grabbed as a Merc and the spy singing “In the jungle the mighty jungle the lion sleeps tonight” before knocking me out.

For any boardgamers here, the game “Sabotage” by Fowers Games is Spies vs Mercs. It was mentioned as the main inspiration during the marketing for it. Lovely game but slightly steep learning curve.

  11. Wanna add some context for anyone out of the loop here?

  12. Spies versus mercs was a fucking blast. I love being sneaky so being able to sneak by players was a huge ramp in difficulty, but it was so much fun. Chaos Theory is probably my most favorite stealth game ever made.
