    sudo mkdir -p /var/tmp/this/is/definitely/a/very/important/directory/for/saving/the/souls/of/lost/processes/–verbose –enable-coffee-mode –with-extra-sudo –dry-run-but-still-do-it –no-confirmation-required –just-trust-me 2>/dev/null && echo “Folder created. Probably.”

    “mkdir folder_name” is not hard to type.

  6. Parody aside, some users are just showing off, and Linux devs want to make an OS for them alone to use. What more proof do you need than “vi”? The rest of use are lazy. If something cumbersome needs to be done, for shit sure we have a directory with scripts that we wrote and constantly tune over time instead of commit all that to memory.

    I think the only thing I use the terminal for is installing and updating software (I don’t know why, but I just prefer using the terminal to install and update software.) I use GUI for the rest of stuff unless I have to use the terminal, which is rare.
