People do not know how to make memes anymore.

  2. That is like riding a tricycle and moving straight up to a 600cc bike

Doesn’t play any online games with any semblance of anti-cheat is a non-starter for me.

just use bazzite. It’s SteamOS (not 100% official), however it has more features than SteamOS plus has a somewhat Nvidia support, however I would wait until Nvidia adds official support which would be whenever the hell 😑.

just use the arch install script.

boot the iso, it’ll drop to a terminal.

make sure you’re on the internet (ethernet is easier, wi-fi is a bit more invovled, follow the wi-fi part of the manual install guide if you need it)

    then just type “archinstall”

it’ll update the script if its not the latest then it’ll take you to a tui menu installer that makes the whole process super easy.

only real reason to do the manual install at this point is if you want to learn how, other wise just use the archinstall script.

I moved away from win 11 for real last month and I’m having the best time of my life customizing and installing my shit on Arch using chatgpt/deepseek. If the LLMs don”t know about something, I just feed it the relevant wiki articles. Vibe Arch-ing is a real thing.

For someone tired of windows, but needs adobe and likes games. Is Linux even an option?

Best Arch Linux installer is EndevaourOS

Arch is a lot more friendly than it looks like from the outset if you are willing to sit down and read the documentation and look for help on the wiki. The Arch Wiki is such an amazing resource that I would recommend thumbing through it even if you don’t use Arch as your main distro you can learn a lot about how to configure and set up stuff that comes pre-set up on other distros.

Don’t use arch. Honestly, the meme has wasted more time and done more harm than almost anything else. The whole point of the meme is people bragging about setting it up because it’s such a pain to do.

Arch is not a good distro for a beginner. It is a distro for someone who wants to spend their time configuring rather than using their machine, and knows how to go about doing that.

Start with Ubuntu, Mint, Fedora, Manjaro or any of the other user friendly distros. It takes about 20 min to install any of them.
