I don’t understand why this is considered remarkable. In my experience a lot of electronics problems can be fixed with a cut to size support. GPU sag is one example. The ideal material for this is non conductive, easy to cut and slightly spongy so you can squeeze it into place. Pool noodle is perfect. I regularly use wine bottle cork for similar purposes.
