Street kid lifepath and a net running build. If you prefer simplicity then you can also go with a sandy build I guess.

As u/Even-Debt2428 said, just play the game. Choose the weapons and cyberware you think is cool or like; choose decisions by any metric you want (what do you believe is the best/worst/funniest/coolest/whatever decison). Just go in blind and experience what Night City has to offer, you don’t even have to do gigs or missions you don’t want to (unless you need them to progress the story, of course).
Edit: Also, don’t watch playthroughs unless you are stuck or trying to find something. You choose the story that happens to V

Don’t research too much into the consequences of certain decisions. At certain times V will be faced with making tough choices, but part of what makes the game interesting is seeing how your decisions play out (This is especially true for Phantom Liberty). I’d say the best decision you could make early on is deciding whether you’d prefer stealth or brute force at your primary play style, because this will determine how you can best spend perk points and buy cyberware.

Laurence Fishburne as River Ward.

Try out the optional stuff in quests. 80% more interesting.

Honestly for your first playthrough I’d recommend just winging it and trusting your instinct. Explore as soon as you can, experiment with early versions of cyberware to find what you gel with.
And do as many NCPD missions for quick cash, XP and potentially good loot and weapons
