Is there another “not that evil” corp like Trauma Team, where you get what you pay for, and bad things only happen if you can’t/don’t pay, or if you get in their way?

…Not that evil? They’re everything wrong with modern healthcare, but exaggerated to impressive extremes.

At the end of the day, most corps in Cyberpunk are only “not that evil” because they don’t have to be. They’re efficient and their evil is priced in.

Trauma team is evil man, if you can’t afford to pay for the services they rip out your implants and give you basically dumpster ones, then you can work to pay off the rest of what you owe them for you “rescue”
The closest you’d probably get is netwatch, but even they do some questionable things they are just more justified in doing it.

A core facet of the cyberpunk genre is almost every corporation does bad things you do or don’t know about.

I say this having not yet played phantom liberty, but I kind of think Militech was supposed to be a Good Guy Corp, sort of like how the Aldecaldos were Good Guy Nomads, and the Mox were a good guy gang. Essentially, for each background, they’d have at least one Good Guy faction for that background. Meredith Stout’s means, using V as a pawn, is questionable, but her motivations are noble, keeping a dangerous weapon out of the hands of a violent gang. I suspect if her storyline was explored more, we would have seen more of her behind the ruthless facade.

Soooo…. about not evil… trauma team it at best neutral Evil. They won’t lift a finger unless you have coverage… they might even zero you if you’re in the way to their client and too annoying….
They’re not in the list of big bad bad ones but they not be good. Others on that list? Maybe netwatch. And they sus as hell too…

Trauma Team is Probably on the good side. But the Customer comes first and then all other.

Dude, don’t you listen to the radio in your car? They’re as evil as Arasaka. Trauma Team sees you as a product. If you can’t pay them they see you as a product they can exploit. They don’t need to worry about bleeding you dry cuz as the radio host said, they’re doctors. They’ll keep you alive as they harvest your organs, and it’s all legal for them.

Lmao only an American could think of Trauma Team as not that evil. Have y’all already forgotten about Luigi?

Netwatch. They sometimes shoot a 12 year old in the back of the head twice for leaving a Kilroy in a corpo server, sure, but they also protect the world from nasty nasty AI (that was unleashed because they probably sold Bartmoss out).

This is such a cool concept that I would love an entire Trauma Team Expansion DLC for the game. It would be…

The company that gives you the ding dong implants seems ok when they don’t malfunction. They want to help people out.

Are you seriously telling me that the most evil version of the healthcare system is “not that evil”? It’s literally just our current healthcare system but even more expensive and with fewer benefits for the lower classes. Fuck Trauma Team, all my homies hate trauma team.
Crazy_names
Look into the deep lore of Trauma. Its actually just as bad as any other corp. Fun stuff

Trauma Team can and will murder innocent bystanders just for being in the way. They are no less evil than anyone else.

Tbh I don’t really know. The core of cyberpunk is that companies grow so high that they can do almost everything with the lowest consequence. And trauma team is the least evil in their ranks, but I think I’d put Net watch and Zetatech next to it. Net watch being the most neutral among them since almost everyone needs their services.

Seeing Trauma team in Edgerunners confirmed for me they are trash.

I think the biggest corporation that isn’t slightly evil is a little Esoterica above the only honest ripperdoc in Night City

Oh man, if you think Trauma Team isn’t doing some evil shit, then I have a bridge to sell you.

There was someone in a medical outfit(not trauma team) walking down the street, and I tried to get a better look, because I had never seen that before. Accidentally aimed my gun at them, and they pulled heat! Kind of figures, what with trauma team and all.
