Are there other “not that evil” fictional corps like “Trauma Team”, where you get what you pay for, and bad things only happen if you can’t/don’t pay, or if you get in their way?

I am extremely confused how you landed on ‘trauma team’ as ‘not that evil’.

If you wanna look at it like that…that’s any kind of private police in fiction I guess?

Cyberpunk is a critique of late-stage capitalism, so all the corporations are *supposed* to be evil.
Pappa_Crim
Sader-Krup from Shadowrun is portrayed as being some degree less evil than its competition, although that’s not saying much
There is also the Draco Foundation which is generaly good, but does underhanded things sometimes

Not answering your question, but damn, I’d love to be able to play as a trauma team member in the next cyberpunk game, at least as an ‘origin’ for the character.
Remcin
Repo men.

Why is there no 4-player coop Trama team game? Drop in, fire fight, 2 people defend 2 people do surgeon simulator.

Uhhh The Union from the movie Repo Men? The company provides artificial organs… as long as you can make payments. If you fall behind your organ gets repossessed. Brutally.

Wait, can we join the Trauma Team? If it’s not already a side quest line then it needs to be.

TT can be very evil. Read the Trauma Team comic. Total disregard for their employees. Also, listen to what Mike says about their “organ recovery” policy.
Edit: funny detail, in Cyberpunk 2020 it is said that TT has no obligation of dropping you off in a hospital. So, they can actually revive you and patch you up. Then you’re on your own – except if you pay for premium services, of course (starts at $100 from the moment you called them, and IIRC you pay for their ammo if they have to rescue you on an active firefight).

Best you can get is non-evil people in those corps and organizations, who inevitably quit or become indoctrinated when they realize that it wasn’t just that they weren’t improving the world. But making it worse on a micro AND macro scale! You know, like real life cops, judges, lawyers, prosecutors, pharma and healthcare companies.
-Wait, no I’m sorry, cause I know what you mean. that’s being dismissive to what you actually wanna talk about. So yeah I’d say food corporations are “at least humanity is still eating, even if it’s roaches and lab grown tissue.”

Trauma Team is cool now? Instead of an extremely evil capitalist Healthcare system?
Le_Civil_Ingenieur_P
Have you not heard what Maximum Mike says about them on Morro Rock Radio? About how they replace or repossess people’s organs when they’re late on payments? TT is definitely evil.

I wanna play a character on the trauma team in the cyberpunk sequel
Fawin86
I still think trauma team would make a dope ass video game where you have to go in to a hab-block to save the customer and pull them out while simultaneously providing first aid until you get them to the hospital.

Danger Gal isn’t evil its just a private investigation corp full of catgirls
