Loved that game, especially when you used the snowspeeders to tie up the at at walker just like in Empire Strikes Back

  2. CloakerJosh

Nice to see you honoured your commitment to “Keep your receipt!” as displayed on the bottom.

    šŸ‘ Good job, citizen

For those who want to play, it’s still on Steam. I’ve found that it only works with AMD GPUs though.

  4. Scaboda527

Thats badass, i used to keep every receipt from games i bought in the instruction booklet tabs.

  5. spectralhunt

Surprised that receipt is still readable.

  6. ThurBurtman

Adjusted for inflation, that game cost around $98 today.

  7. Real_Goomba_King

Man i bought it in 2023 as part of a bundle on humble bundle for like 3 bucks

What is a check? You paid with a paper cheque?

That Best Buy was a Children’s Palace back in the day. I got my first bike from there.

Suck a fun game with a joystick!

It would be funny to try and return it and be like “yea..I got the receipt..” cashier looks at the date purchased😱

  14. The system requirements on PC were serious. It was pretty poorly optimized ported over from N64 wasn’t it?

That was a hell of a time. Right before file sharing blew up. That summer I bought civ 2 gold edition on sale – and didn’t buy any new games for several years once I got my hands on what passed for broadband.

You must have had a nice rig.

Plus those were still the days of X-Wing. Alliance was just around the corner…

    In other words.

    Pepperidge farm remembers…

    >KEEP YOUR RECEIPT!

    You certainly listened.

  16. Cr33py-Milk

Good for you! Seal it and protect it.

I can’t believe that receipt hasn’t yellowed or faded in 26 years.

Greenwood used to be a cool place to go. I haven’t been in years though. The mall was awesome then too.

The Incom T-65 X-wing is the fighter that killed the Death Star.

  20. Lunarcomplex

And people will still argue how $70 games are inconceivable in 2025 lmao

  21. FiRaven

Do you remember playing it back then and do you remember if it would crash on Imperial Construction Yards or Battle above Taloraan? On modern hardware it crashes a bunch on those levels making speed running the whole game a bit annoying.

  22. The Incom T-65 X-wing is the fighter that killed the Death Star. An almost perfect balance of speed, maneuverability, and defensive shields make it the fighter of choice for Rogue Squadron.
