For gaming the 5600 would be better ig but for 10$ can you really complain ? Also it’s a 5700g

  2. Accurate-Bluebird-40

yea that is a pretty solid upgrade from the i5 7600 and it has integrated graphics, nice score

  3. Careless_Cook2978

    No, it’s not a Ryzen 7 5700. and yes, the G makes a difference.

You get only 8 pcie lanes but an integrated GPU

  4. The 5600 would be *mildly* better than the 5700G for gaming, but both will be *enormously* better than your i5-7600.

For ten bucks, you can’t go wrong.

  5. Yes guys, it’s a 5700G I can’t edit the title😭

  6. shadowds

For $10 that a win, no matter what anyone say, and it is a nice grade for you over i5 7600.

Better IPC, 4 extra cores, can’t get wrong getting it for $10.

  7. Visual-Win-1778

Aye mang that’s a 5700G so it has integrated graphics. In theory, the 5600 might’ve been better for gaming. But for 9.99 that’s still a steal. And yes, it is about 2x better than your current i5 cpu so still a good upgrade

  8. sawb11152

Dude that’s an amazing deal and a huge upgrade for you. Congrats, enjoy that shit.

  9. Professional_Way1780

Damn what a steal I got my 5900x for like 300 bucks a few months ago.

No need to open box, as second pic suggests. I keep meaning to drop by one of these bin places I always forget. There are a few here on LI.

  11. jetforcegemini

There’s an employee somewhere who is pissed that the box he swapped is missing.

  12. Tornadodash

This is am4, right? That means you can use the same ram. So just a motherboard upgrade for $150 and your set. I’d be pretty happy.

  13. IrishGopherHockeyFan

No Exchange. You’re stuck with a decent CPU. Sorry.

  14. This_Committee8847

You better make sure it works or if it causes any issues, careful because a faulty cpu can really damage your mobo and components, and those ten bucks will now cost a couple hundred

  15. This_Committee8847

You’re going to have to by new mobo. It uses ddr4, which i5 7xxx uses, so you can just re-use that ram or upgrade depending on what you already have

  16. Chao_Zu_Kang

Twice the cores is certainly nice. Just don’t overspend on a new MoBo as you won’t be getting full functionality with that CPU anyways.

  17. FakeMik090

Thats 5700G and it might be worser than 5600.

I would return it on your place.

  18. nightjar55

    I got a 5700G, idk I think it’s really good

  19. KevinMcNally79

Dang son. Imagine if we pooled all of the shocking deals into one big PC build. You know, the person that got an AMD RX 6700XT for like thirty bucks, new in box? You’d have a pretty darn capable rig for less than $200, all brand new.

  20. Fastermaxx

Now you need to find an AM4 Board for 10$ and some cheap used ram. It’s possible to build a pc like that for less than a new game.

  21. PerspectiveLeast1097

that’s nice it has 8 cores and integrated graphics so you can save money

I got r5 g i m using it for blender krita and everything works

your cpu will be even better

  22. legos_on_the_brain

    I’m selling a motherboard and Ddr4…

  23. JanwayIsHere

That’s a very good deal, and it will be faster than your current CPU! Just a few caveats that you should be aware of because although it seems like a free upgrade I’d personally consider it a side grade at best.

The 5700G only has 16MB of L3 Cache compared to the 32MB that the 5600 has. That’s going to be a minor, but noticeable, perform loss.

It also only has PCIe 3.0, with only 16 lanes available which is lower than the 20 PCIe 4.0 lanes that you’d find on the 5700X variant of the chip. In real world terms you’re losing out on nothing if you’re running an appropriate x16 GPU, but if you’re using a newer budget GPU which only has an x8 interface then you immediately have a problem and the 5600 would be the more performant choice. There are also 4 less lanes which means you lose out on the CPU routed M.2 slot

The main thing the 5700G has going for it is the iGPU (which is now in “legacy” support), the higher core count and the +200MHz boost clock, but when it comes to gaming with a dedicated GPU you’d actually be better off with the 5600 as it will give you more performance in today’s games with that higher cache (and other factors where relevant), although it would still only be a sub-5% win in favour of the 5600.

AM4 is the goat platform. It replaced old intel quad cores as the floor of budget builds.

  25. Duedain

Wow that’s insane. They charge $30 for a plastic bracelet but a CPU for $10?!?! How are the pins?

  26. Kind_Rub1620

Fuck you, it should’ve been me 😡
