Nah. Why buy new GPU when all my games run great of a 1050 Ti?

One look at the prices cures me of that.

as a RX6800 owner I didn’t see too many points into upgrading to 9070XT
700+euro and getting back “only” +70% perf 5 years later when I paid mine 580?

I think majority of gamers just keep playing their games until they won’t play well anymore lol

all those people who upgrade every gen and say “it is worth for 12% uplift in performance!” are offended by this post
honorable mention for people who manage to sell their GPU for good price and then get new one for cheap

I make a point of never buying top of the line cards as I really got no clue what the difference between 60fps and 100fps is even supposed to be. Never mind why it’s worth literally thousands. When I next upgrade it will also be to a not-top of-the-line card.

I grew out of needing the latest and greatest.

Hey man I am still happy with my 3060 12gb.

Nah, can’t relate. (RTX 3060ti and used to have a GTX 1050) the 3000 series is good enough, along with the 6000 on AMD.

Was all in 5090 until I saw the market price…..will wait till it drop a bit more. So yes..still looking and starting resenting the 4090 for not being good enough..

If it’s not a significant upgrade it’s not worth the investment. I always skip a few generations before upgrading again.
Going one gen to the next you often don’t even notice the improvement, like going from 100 FPS to 120 FPS imo is not worth it. Going from 1080p 80FPS to 1440p 144 FPS now that’s what I call upgrade.
When I last upgraded I went from GTX 1060 straight to RTX 3080 Ti, still feel good about it. Next upgrade needs to be at least 4k 144FPS with RT enabled (and without frame gen required) to get me even remotely interested.
