Newer fans might not understand just how much UKCS was a joke 10 years ago. It wasn’t just to make fun of us, it was a true representation of how little we had to offer on the international stage. We were bad, and everyone knew it. There was no universe a British player could ever make a major, let alone the playoffs.
It has been a long, wonderful, fascinating, and exciting journey to get here.
Dephh, Smooya, Surreal, HenryG and most importantly everyone involved in Endpoint, ITB, GamerLegion and our domestic scene got us here. (Not you SlayTheMinotaur) Edit: I know I said Endpoint but ESPECIALLY MiGHTYMAX!!!
This scene can produce a talent of the calibre of Mezii, what an unbelievable point of pride.
We are a joke no longer, Paris was a perfect moment for UKCS, but Mezii’s career is a display of determination, of shaking off the shackles of a UK scene that was trapped in its old ways.
A golden moment, I will cherish it forever.
