Majestic game that was before its time, if only it could be remastered now with modern graphics.

  2. If only they would finish the Jensen trilogy already…

This might be the greatest rpg and immersive sim of all time, not just one of. I bought it for PC on a whim from a GameStop or EB games because I thought the box looked cool and I wasn’t quite sure how to pronounce the name. It was so much better than I even hoped it would be.

  4. Nanganoid3000

One of my top ten games of all times, and it’ll never leave that list ever.

It’s timeless, it’s special, it arrived in my life at the right time, it helped shape me as a person.

A couple of years ago I decided to re-visit Deus Ex because the first time around I didn’t pay enough attention to remember anything other than the music. Turns out that the old-school difficulty and my ruined attention span made me unable to get past the first area.

Still one of the best inventory systems and damage models to this very day.

  7. BaiJiGuan

Absolutely insane game, far ahead of it’s time.

    “What a shame…”

  8. Fallen-Omega

Have this ok steam deck, really should give it a shot

I took a look at the game on the PS5 and I doubt this title very much. Assassin’s Creed is more immersion than this.

  10. I bought this game for 90 cents alongside persona, Skyrim and Assassin’s creed and it was by far the best of the four. I can’t believe I never gave a chance to this game when I was younger, but I’m glad that I finally did, too bad invisible war sucks though.

Idk if it’s good cuz I have yet to play it. But the box art is probably my all time favourite

  12. I remember exploring UNATCO base and in the next cutscene with Manderly getting yelled at for going in the women’s restroom. That blew my mind back in the day.

If only the mini crossbow didn’t suck so bad and make non lethal runs feel like dragging your balls across glass. I did one non lethal to experience it and then I did a bunch of runs where I was non lethal for about the first couple hours and then said fuck it and started upgrading the stealth pistol.

  13. if they could do a remake or true visual remaster that made it feel less old I’d really probably enjoy it but… as it stands I cant.

Do you have a single shred of evidence to back that up?

  15. Admirable-Amoeba-564

Got this on primary school, aged 10 or 11. Felt Total hacker boy when i found those doorcodes on hidden notepads. What a game and memory this is.

  16. annual reminder that this game had a new york skyline without the twin towers in the year 2000

  17. Dr-Mohannad

This game should get the remake treatment, never played it, not 3-5 years old games.

  18. i would like to say that i’m excited for them to continue the story of adam jensen, but after how big of a shitshow the last game has been with all the microtransactions, performance issues and atrocious ending point, i’m kinda not looking forward to it anymore despite human revolution being one of my favorite RPGs of all time

One of the best games ever made, I really love Deus EX and everything about it, from the ambient music to the great world building, the story, the overall themes, the iconic soundtrack, one of my favourite games of all time.

  20. It got a rerelease on playstation store on the 17/06 with trophies for the occasion. It’s called “DEUS EX: THE CONSPIRACY”, and it’s price at 15euros in europe for those interested!

“Maybe you should try getting a job”

Still my favorite line in the game.
