And Pondsmith just did an interview where he said Orion has a city that reminds him of of Chicago gone wrong. Could Orion take place in 2080 with Chicago as a main setting? Kinda weird out of all the cities there’s so many signs specifically about Chicago. Or I’m just looking to much into it.

They added it with the 2.1 patch I think. Even then people were speculating it had something to do with the sequel.
Pondsmith confirming it months later tells me it was definitely meant as a little easter egg. But thats me:)

Nightcorp has been messing with the idea mind control. There are several gigs (one of them unavoidable) that deal with this.
Chicago is hinted at being the next dlc/maingame location via leaks and stuff.
We’re supposed to get a … really nasty corpo war in the future (lorewise I think) so that’s fun.

Uh, yeah, they’ve been there since 2020.
And the games might have a second world space to visit with dlc, but it’ll never leave night city as the main setting. The franchise revolves around night city.
