I’m predicting it now, GTA VI will be the biggest anticipated launch disaster in video game history. The game is gonna flop due to performance problems similar to Cyberpunk, and people are going to freak the fuck out about the price tag. It will take a series of dozens of updates to make the game even playable.
I think this event will be a turning point in AAA(A?) game development where ultra-realism becomes too risky to develop, and we diverge toward a more artistic style.
They’re gonna repeat history. It’s clear how over-ambitious this project is hence the backpedaling on release dates

Jokes on you, I have a PS to play its amazing exclusives (which many of come out on PC these days anyways), and I’ll be playing GTA on that, then when it’s eventually out on PC, I’ll just buy it again 🤷
I considered buying a console, but couldn’t justify the cost of one compared to the actual enjoyment I would get out of it when the latest gen consoles released. There weren’t enough new games that usually coincided with a new gen launch like there typically were in the past.
I built a new PC instead and even though I loved the GTA series GTA 6 is not enough of a reason to do so now which means I will just wait it out.

With what the Xbox is slowly morphing into, I wouldn’t be shocked if it will just be an OS for gaming handhelds/a special version of windows with less bloat and an attached store.
If that happens, we might yet get GTA on PC as the Xbox version first

Imagine the game launches on ps5 at 30fps but it is announced and we know it to be true that 2 years later the game is released again on ps5 but this time thanks to incredible optimization is somehow running 4 times faster at 120fps.
Would I want to play the 30fps version or wait two years? => I would wait 2 years.
I’ll go even further with a new hypothetical:
Imagine the game launches on ps5 at 30fps and then it is never ported and/or emulated to any other platform ever.
Would I want to play the 30fps version? => No
And now I final hypothetical:
A game is 30fps. Do I want to play that game at all? => No
