I guess the “Infinite” in Halo Infinite actually lasted for 3 years.

Halo Infinite was supposed to be the next “10 years of halo” yet it felt like the whole game was abandoned after 6 months.

That’s a damn shame.

The game was a slap to the face of fans.

Halo Studios: “We sold you skins, what more could you want from us?!”

Honestly, it’s best they just kill it off man. This was one of the biggest letdowns of this gen.

Literally what does that studio do all day?
DapDaGenius
Might be because they say the reception to the game and felt it was not worth it to and to move on to next the Halo?
Can’t wait to see it, because i want to see if all the changes at the studio were for the better. Goodbye 343, Hello Halo Studios.

I havent played Halo since it went T for teen. Felt too sanitized, like if you took Gears of War and removed the War.

Didn’t they just give out a well-recieved update? with the hayabusa helmet and everything?

343 sold people a $60 campaign on the promise of local co-op, just to cancel the feature 8 months later after the money was made.
Fuck 343.

Dont even know why they bother making these games anymore. Rishes them out half finished and then half asses any updates before they quit

Fan maps have always kept halo alive longer than the official studio.
Look at halo reach. Almost half of the Maps are fan made.

MCC has more players than Infinite. We don’t want 343 Halo. We want Bungie Halo. Stop making Halo everything it’s not. If we wanted to play CoD or Apex, we would play those games instead of those games with a Halo esthetic. Stop trying to be the top dog again. Halo doesn’t need to be THE shooter, it needs to be what made it compelling to begin with.

This game had the best gameplay out of 343 trilogy but was the most hollow and had the least amount of basic halo content like split screen coop. Literally dead on arrival. Fuck 343. I have no hope for the next halo

Honestly it was the best halo in a while. Gunplay felt really good and the abilities felt closer to halo 3 but had a pretty good twist imo. Still for some reason I would get bored after only a few matches

Can’t lie I still have fun with it. The halo 3 playlist has been really fun to play.

I actually like infinite. I think it’s a good balance between old and new halo games. Gameplay is good. Cosmetics are good but I have to agree with the forge devs… it just feels like it gets no love.
The only thing that updates with this game are battlepass events. It took them several years just to add a new sandbox weapon.
343 had all the cards to make halo great again and they ruined the opportunity by poor development and lack of attention.

Ok…. The game came out years ago, not everything needs to be an endless live service slog.

It’s crazy how much lingering damage Don Mattrick did to Xbox and Halo considering how he treated the later years of the 360 and the entire launch of the Xbone. As for 343, it was mostly him who got to chose who to higher for key decision making roles and explicitly went out of his way to higher people who didnt like Halo to make it appeal more to COD. Those 10 year contracts were basically golden sets of armor for people in charge to collect a paycheck regardless of how poorly their products preformed too.

Article might be exaggerating, naturally, as this is about one forger (team) that I guess is known for making the Remake of Nacht Der Untoten that was put into matchmaking.
Really the Forgers deserve to be paid for what they did for the game because it wouldn’t be where it is without them.
And “where it is” is pretty much a spot of: It’s good enough now. Like I can seemingly play without getting bored for a good while. Having classic 8v8 BTB back is a godsend.
Only took 3 years to get there…

I’d love to watch a documentary on how Halo was at its absolute peak, then watch as it got mismanaged and dropped like a bag of hot potatoes.
What a fall from grace.

The multiplayer FPS market is way too saturated for something like Halo to be successful these days.

I didn’t realize coffee was so important to Halo.
