I like to think that the Moon ending for songbird and the nomad ending for V is canon, definitely would like to see V travel around with the gang while being contacted by songbird from the moon for a quest or something. That or V’s life after the 2 years comatose

Honestly, none. I want a fresh story. I hope it’s far enough into the future and not in Night City that we can have a whole new world full of new people to kill, to romance, and to do gonk jobs with.

And as a practical matter, since each of 2077’s endings radically affect NPC outcomes, it would mess up player’s immersion and cheapen their ride.
And the latter is very important, because is the problem that many people have with W4’s conception. Canonizing a Witcher Ciri is a serious misstep: There are ways to make her the main character (and we expected it) without making her grub around in the woods for 30 oren contracts.
Let everyone’s V end their story with the way players want to remember.

No story characters, for sure. Though assuming the game isn’t set in the past or like… 25 years in the future it would be weird as hell if some of the fixers weren’t still around. I’d be delighted to boot up Orion and find El Capitan back on his bullshit hooking up jobs and stealing cars.

If I had to pick anyone it would be Misty, Vik or Claire. Everyone else’s fates are pretty determinant and I’d rather stepping on the toes of too many players.
Ultimately it’d probably be best to just have a complete clean sweep of the cast though.

I wouldn’t mind seeing one of the younger characters be an older fixer in the next game if the story takes place well after 2077.
River’s last holocall to you at the end of the game says he came into position of some arms and is gonna start arming people like V to help the city, so I could see a path were he becomes a sorta “good guy” fixer using his NCPD contacts/intel and working with honorable mercs like V to help clean up NC at the ground level.
Or hell, with how much Cyberpunk (and especially Phantom Liberty) set up the Blackwall as a crisis in the making that’s bound to eventually be breached, there’s a very real chance we see Alt return potentially as a primary antagonist rogue AI, potentially even bringing a V or Johnny engram cameo depending on what ending they consider canon.

We kind a relic and slot it to find it is Adam Smasher’s and Johnny’s, and they both appear as a devil and angel when you have to make decisions.

Any or all would be welcome but honestly, I wouldn’t mind if none of them showed up again and it was an entirely new story.
I want the story to be primarily set in NC cause that’s practically the main character but I’d also be interested to see more of the world/history of this universe. Maybe show some of the wars in South America or the 4th corporate war or whatever.
